The architecture collection is accessible to students, researchers, and others. The National Museum holds Norway’s most important architecture collection with more than 300,000 artifacts dating from the 1830s to the present day.

Nasjonalmuseet – Arkitektur er ein destinasjon i seg sjølv. Museumsbygningen er ei samanstilling av klassisisme og modernisme – eit møte mellom Christian Heinrich Grosch (1801–1865) og Sverre Fehn (1924–2009), to sentrale arkitektar i norsk kunsthistorie.

• The National Museum – Architecture is a destination in itself. The museum building is a combination of classicism and modernism – a meeting between Christian Heinrich Grosch (1801–1865) and Sverre Fehn (1924–2009), two central architects in Norwegian art history.
• The collection includes drawings and photographic documentation, models and other objects.
• This is Norway's largest architecture collection and consists of more than 300,000 artefacts, dating from the 1830's and up until today. Please contact the study room.
• Important architects whose works are in the collection are: Ove Bang, Blakstad & Munthe-Kaas, Wenche Selmer, Jan & Jon, Knut Knutsen, Arne Korsmo, Christian Norberg-Schulz, Magnus Poulsson, Erling Viksjø and Sverre Fehn.
